Account Specific Pricing Feature Now Available

While our B2B pricing tools allowed for setting pricing at a customer group level, many businesses negotiate pricing at the account, and so we have upgraded our pricing structure to allow for Account Specific Pricing.

You can now set pricing at the SKU level, which will override pricing at broader levels such as customer group or global pricing. If pricing is not set at the account level, it will continue to refer back to the next level where pricing is established, meaning you do not have to set pricing for every product to use this feature. In this way, if you have negotiated special pricing for only a handful of specific products, you can set them for those products and leave things alone for the rest.

Enabling Account Specific Pricing

To activate this capability, go to Settings -> Store information and under Experimental Features change Enable Account Specific Product Prices to Yes. A new option will appear, Apply Account Specific Product Prices to Products, which you can set to Yes to activate and then click Save.

The enabling of the feature and the activation of prices are separated to allow our sellers to do test imports of the data to verify pricing is as they expect before enabling it, since some data sources may be automated, such as importing data from Oracle NetSuite. If for some reason the pricing isn’t rendering as expected, you can disable the Account Specific Product Prices to Products, which will revert to the previous product pricing logic that existed before this feature was established.

For NetSuite integration users, it will import individual pricing defined in the Item Pricing tab on the Customer Page. If NetSuite to Zoey Customer Import is enabled, the Item Pricing tab will be imported automatically. This will not overwrite pricing data imported elsewhere, but the account-specific pricing will take precedence over other pricing information, such as global or customer group specific pricing.
