As we mentioned in a previous post, major improvements are coming to Zoey’s design tools in the next several weeks. When we first introduced our Visual Design Editor with drag & drop design functionality, our goal was to offer a completely new approach to Ecommerce design.

Themes and templates are too limiting and force a merchant to conform to a very rigid design. Similarly, not all merchants have the budget or desire to hire a developer to create custom design for them. So, we created a hybrid approach. Pair free themes that a merchant can use as a starting point with tools that allow them to completely customize the design without writing code.

This next version of the Visual Design Editor seeks to improve on this idea. We’ve taken major steps towards making the drag & drop functionality even easier to use, but we’ve also given our advanced users powerful tools to really push the limits of design on Zoey.
