April ultimately proved to be one of our most aggressive months of updates in some time. While we’ve announced major releases in April like Advanced Quick Order and Google Analytics Enhanced Ecommerce, there were quite a few other updates that were made available throughout the month.
New features will only be available for those on version 2 of Zoey (you can check your version number in the top left corner of the admin when logged in). To be sure you have access to all the latest, request your upgrade today.
Remember, you can always stay up to date with the latest updates, and share your feedback about what we should add next. Here’s a summary of some of our recent updates, available now:
- Click to enlarge product image: To activate, in the Visual Design Editor, go to the Product Template and in the Product Media Block, (Product Image Gallery) enable the setting. Customers will then see the following:
- Compare Products Overhaul: The compare feature has been re-styled. In addition, within Product->Settings you can adjust the default items that show up. Within Product->Attributes you can now check off “Used in Compare”. Drag in the Compare block to include in your templates.
- Display Custom Attributes on the Product Page: Product Essentials now let you add Attributes in specific places within the Product Attributes Block. You have control over which custom attributes are shown, and in what location.
- New Image-Only Slideshow Block: You can make the slideshow any size you want with an image-only approach.
- Other Visual Design Editor Changes: Additional improvements that can now be leveraged:
- Multi-column customization
- Additional options in the related columns block
- Product Essentials basic spacing/design controls is now possible. If you do not see it, delete the current block and drag it back into your template to get the latest one
- Slideshow now has the option to “Pause on Mouse Hover”
- Product Listings on Category Pages can now be set to 2 columns for Desktop, Tablet and Mobile
- Front-end Performance Improvements: Massive changes to how the Visual Design Editor renders the front end of sites. All Zoey Version 2 Stores should notice a massive speed improvement. We’re excited to continue to deliver performance optimization to continue powering your site as quickly as possible. Product List Blocks will now also resize images for CDN optimization and faster page loading times for your customers.
