The end of year is a busy time for many, between personal and professional obligations. But with the upcoming arrival of a new year, many will take stock of things and make decisions about what to work on in the new year.
When it comes to Zoey, if you haven’t kept pace with the changes we’ve been making, it may be a good time to review what’s been released lately. Our latest features may offer you new and improved ways to get your day-to-day work done!
Everything below has been released in the last few months, and are available to use right away.
Remember that you can always stay up to date with the latest updates (including what’s been released since the new month started), and share your feedback about what we should add next.
- Categories for Desktop or Mobile Only: You can now decide to only show a category on the desktop or mobile version of your store.
- Easier Management of Variation Data for Configurable Products: Previously management of multiple variations’ data was best handled through CSV uploads, to avoid having to go into each one individually. In October, we’ve added editing abilities to a number of data points from the Configuraable Product Edit Screen. Among the data you can now edit are the name of the variation and custom attributes. Look for the cog icon in the variations area of a configurable product for access to edit.
- Order Attribute Date Range Restriction: To avoid customers choosing an unusual date, you can require a selection within a date range (within x days from the current date, x being your choice) of your choosing.
- Split Order Attribute is Now Filterable: For stores using Zoey’s Split Orders feature, the product grid now allows for filtering based on that attribute.
- Customer Group Pricing Importing Improved: We have updated the format of the customer group pricing import to make it easier for our merchants to navigate. The legacy format will be accepted for imports, but exports going forward will be in the new format. Learn more.
- Email Template Variables Now Appear in Attributes: To make it easier to leverage information provided by attributes, the email template variables now appear with the attributes so you know the proper syntax.
- Pick Lists Can Show Internal Notes: You can now activate internal notes from an admin or staff account to appear on pick lists to provide more complete information on an order.
- Variations Grouped in the Cart: Variations are now grouped together in the cart, so you can more easily manage the items and understand what is currently there.
- Other Cart Enhancements: Bundled and grouped products also are now collected together in the cart, to reduce confusion about where they came from and what types of edits/deletions are possible. For instance, when you have a scenario where all products must be bought together, that will be more clear in the cart as individual items will be unable to be deleted.
- Bulk Order Status Updates: Through the order grid, you can use bulk actions to update the order status of multiple orders at a time.
